Launching in late 2024, ChatGPT projects offer a simpler way to organize your chatbot. Through the new feature, it is possible to separate conversations within folders. But only paid plan subscribers can use the feature.

What are projects on ChatGPT?

ChatGPT projects were launched in December 2024 and help organize conversations and files within the chatbot into separate folders. Thus, it is possible to define specific guidelines for specific activities.

To use it, simply open ChatGPT and, in the sidebar, go to the “Projects” area. Then, just click on the “+” icon to create a new project.

However, only ChatGPT Plus, Team and Pro subscribers have access to the new feature. The estimate is that the Enterprise plan will receive the new feature in 2025. There is no forecast for the feature to be launched on free accounts.
