Talking about menstruation or related topics such as menopause is still almost “forbidden”, it is a topic that is rarely discussed, the kind of subject that is whispered about in secret. “We often see that it is a big taboo. But why? Less than 100 years ago, women's life expectancy was 50 years. Today we see that menopause accounts for a third of women's lives,” asked Renata Guberfain, director of Vichy Brazil.
According to Angélica, the most complicated period in her career lasted three years, during which she saw her productivity suffer without understanding why. Mother of three children: Joaquim, 17 years old, Benício, 14 years old and Eva, 7 years old, the result of her marriage with TV presenter Luciano Huck, she even considered the possibility of being pregnant again. “The number of times I thought I was pregnant… I took several drugstore tests”revealed.
“A woman's self-esteem starts to fade. She no longer has sexual desire, and intimate dryness occurs. But it can be a more fulfilling phase,” explained the artist. “Today I'm in a better phase because everything is regulated and I'm loving myself, wonderful”, she commented. Angélica concluded by saying that she had sought medical help and that she now lives a full life, with her hormones functioning perfectly.
