I Know What You'll Do Last Summer on Amazon: Opening on Halloween!

At its Comic Con event on Friday (July 23), Amazon provided updates on several upcoming projects, including the series I Know What You Did Last Summer. The streaming platform revealed that the series, which is a modern take on the 1997 slasher, is set to premiere in October, setting the stage for this year's Halloween. The project is from Sony Pictures Television and studio Original Film.

Written by Sarah Goodman based on the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan, the show I Know What You Did Last Summer has the same premise as the film adaptation, where in a city full of secrets, a group of teenagers is chased by a mysterious killer one year after a fatal accident on graduation night.

The cast members are Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom and Bill Heck. The original cast included Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr, Ryan Phillippe

I Know What You Did Last Summer is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures TV. Goodman produces alongside Shay Hatten, who has already been hired as a screenwriter, Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film, and James Wan, Rob Hackett and Michael Clear of Atomic Monster. Erik Feig, who produced the 1997 film with Moritz, is also an executive producer.

Amazon also revealed the trailer for SOZ Soldiers or Zombies, a post-apocalyptic horror series created by Nicolas Entel. The series is scheduled to premiere on Amazon on August 6.
