Iconic Marilyn Monroe – The iconic dress Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 when she addressed President John F. Kennedy appears to have been damaged when Kim Kardashian recently wore the garment. The reality star only briefly wore the dress on the red carpet of the Met Gala and then put on a replica.
New photos show loose seams at the closure, cracks in the back and loosened diamonds. Fashion experts already feared that wearing the dress would not be without consequences.
The dress was worn in 1962 by Monroe, who then sang Happy Birthday, Mr. President for the American president. The dress has been hanging in a museum for years but was loaned to Kardashian especially for the Met Gala.
The reality star said to have followed a strict diet for it.
The museum has not yet responded to the published photos.
