Idina Menzel joins Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato in breaking contract with Scooter Braun

As Taylor Swift would say, karma will catch up with you! After the news that singers Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato were breaking professional contracts with manager Scooter Braun was confirmed by Billboard, it became clear that this week will be difficult for the American talent manager.

This Tuesday (22), The Hollywood Reporter reported first-hand that singer and actress Idina Menzel is also leaving the executive's management.

Scooter Braun has managed Ariana Grande since the release of her debut studio album, “Yours Truly.” Braun was responsible for helping to cement Ariana's career as one of the greatest teen pop divas of the past decade. Former Disney star Demi Lovato began being managed by Scooter in 2019. At the time, Demi defended her former manager when news broke that Braun now owned the masters of all of Taylor Swift's studio albums under contract with Big Machine Records.

Idina Menzel is known for her iconic theater roles as the witch Elphaba in the musical “Wicked” (2005). Idina is also a regular at Disney: the singer voices Princess Elsa in “Frozen” (2013) and “Frozen 2” (2019), as well as having participated in “Enchanted” (2007) and “Disenchanted” (2022) as Nancy Tremaine.

Scooter gained media attention for discovering Canadian singer Justin Bieber. In addition, the businessman is also responsible for managing the careers of the Black Eyed Peas, Ozuna, Ava Max and Dan + Shay. In the American media, the termination of Ariana and Demi's contract raised speculation that Scooter's “golden boy” will also leave his management soon, a rumor that was denied by Scooter Braun's team.
