THE Netflix today released the impressive list of celebrities who will be present in Brazil for Tudum, a festival dedicated to the platform's productions. The information is from 'Omelet'.

The event will take place at the Bienal Pavilion, in Ibirapuera Park, in São Paulo, and will present Netflix's main releases for the coming months. The novelty festival will be held from June 16 to 18, 2023.

But where does the name “TUDUM” come from?

According to the 'I love cinema', TUDUM is the signature sound of the Netflix brand. That chilling sound that plays when the N-shaped symbol appears every time you start a production on the platform? It's TUDUM.

The idea came from Todd Yellinone of the Netflix executives who wanted to create a striking sound to complement the visual identity of the streaming service. To do this, he hired Lon Bendera sound editor known for his work on films such as 'Braveheart' and 'Drive'.

After testing several ideas, the “TUDUM” came from a simple sound: the clang of Yellin's wedding ring hitting the headboard. With the help of a guitar and Charlie Campagnaresponsible for the soundtrack of 'Blade Runner 2049'they lengthened the sound, in a process they called 'The Blossom' (The Bloom).
