Ivete Sangalo gives an interview to Viva a Coroa and talks about how she deals with beauty standards
Last Wednesday (27) singer and presenter Ivete Sangalo gave an exclusive interview to “Viva a Coroa”, a column that aims to show the power of women 50+, since on May 27th the singer will turn 50 and spoke a little about her life and how she deals with some beauty standards that were and still are imposed on her.
When asked how she will welcome her 50th birthday, the singer replied that she will treat it kindly as she did with her 20s and 30s, that it will arrive in a glamorous way and will be lived with all her joy.
Ivete is the new ambassador for the Clinique brand and was the main attraction at the 2022 Vogue Ball. Despite having the love of so many fans, the singer told how she deals with the beauty standards imposed on her career and how she will teach her daughters Marina and Helena to deal with them.

She began by saying that she sets an example for the two girls, treating the subject in a normal and natural way, making it clear that beauty is something to be felt and appreciated for oneself and not something that someone can teach or impose. She says that she has conversations with the girls about the subject and sets her own example, showing a woman who believes in her own beauty and always tries to give the truest version of herself.
When asked about beauty products, Ivete said that she never sleeps with makeup on and that she tries not to keep cosmetic products on her face for too long, so she always carries a makeup remover in her makeup bag and to keep her skin protected and hydrated, she always carries a moisturizer and sunscreen because she has melasma on her skin and wants to always prevent spots.
Finally, the singer admitted that if she could create a cosmetic, she would create a product that would treat melasma once and for all so that it would not affect her skin again and she would not need to use makeup so often and in such quantity to disguise the spots.
