Actor Jacob Batalon, responsible for playing Ned Leeds, Spider-Man's best friend, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), answered whether the character will have any return after what happened in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.

To the “Collider”Jacob Batalon says he feels the actors are the last to know. “I feel like the actors are the last people to know. I think people assume actors are always hiding secrets. I promise you, we don't know anything. But again, if it's the right place, at the right time, with the right group of people we've been with, I'd say, why not? But other than that, whatever happens, happens. Really, these decisions are up to the big bosses, the people who sign the checks. We’re open to the idea, but we’re not expecting it.”.

According to the “Omelet”with the aim of fixing all the confusion involving villains and spider-men from other multiverses, in the last feature film of the superhero trilogy, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) makes the decision to erase everyone's memory about the real identity of the neighborhood friend, involving his best friend Ned in this.

Batalon also states that he has no knowledge of his character's direction, but hopes that Ned Leeds appears in future Marvel productions.

For those who don't know, according to the website “Marvel Protocols”, Ned Leeds, in the comics, was a reporter for the Daily Bugle. J. Joonah Jameson assigned Ned to investigate a new villain called Hobgoblin and one day, after a fight between Spider-Man and Goblin, the reporter followed the defeated villain to his secret hideout and ended up discovering his secret identity, that was, Roderick Kingsley.

The villain, however, found Ned while he was at his base and captured him, but did not kill him. Kingsley chose to hypnotize Ned to use him as a “double” Hobgoblin for those jobs that he himself considered uninteresting. After that, according to the website, Kingsley used his Leeds connections to orchestrate an alliance with Richard Fisk, under the name The Pink. Richard, believing that Ned Leeds was the Hobgoblin and his friend, headed to New York and began a criminal operation with the goblin as his partner.

Kingsley did all of this to frame Ned Leeds and throw Spider-Man and the authorities off his trail.
