Jão and Gloria Groove are announced as attractions for Rock in Rio 2024

Last Monday (04), the Rock in Rio festival announced the artists Jão and Gloria Groove for the 2024 edition. The event will complete 40 years since the first edition and should take place in September next year. In addition to Jão and Gloria Groove, other artists have also been confirmed.

Artists Announcement

The announcement was made during the inauguration of the cube, an LED art installation built in Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, in Rio de Janeiro. Jão was present at the event along with artistic director Zé Ricardo and Rock in Rio marketing director Ana Deccache.

International acts Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Ne-Yo and Joss Stone have also been confirmed for the festival. In addition, among the national acts, Ludmilla, Ivete Sangalo, Lulu Santos and Paralamas do Sucesso have already been confirmed. The event will take place on September 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22, 2024, in Rio de Janeiro.

Ticket sales

The Rock in Rio card will be available for sale this Thursday (07), at 7 pm. The Rock in Rio card guarantees the buyer entry before all the attractions are announced. After that, he can choose the day of his preference.

However, what we see on social media is a certain fear of guaranteeing entry in advance, as the artists so far – for the fans – seem not to have been enough.

Still, the event organizers guarantee that Rock In Rio's 40th anniversary party will be unforgettable. Marketing director Ana Deccache assured that new features will still be delivered during the Cubo inauguration event: “The 40th anniversary celebration will be unforgettable and we will have many artists announced, in addition to the news“, he said.

Zé Ricardo also highlighted that new features will be delivered soon: “We will have many surprises in the lineup by the end of the year.”, he said. He also highlighted that this edition will represent the encounters and freedom that the event promotes.
