Jão celebrates the one-year anniversary of “PIRATA” and announces a new video clip

Jão, the sensational singer of the moment, is celebrating the first anniversary of his album “PIRATE”which was an absolute success in the Brazilian music industry. Released on October 20, 2021, the album features hit tracks such as “I Don't Love You”, “Joker” and “Idiot”in addition to boosting the 27-year-old's career and taking him on sold-out tours throughout Brazil.

With more than 300 million views, the singer celebrated the achievement this Tuesday (19), via Twitter, and thanked all his fans for all their support over the last year.

“Happy birthday, pirate! I can only thank you for making this album one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. I always knew it would be an album of change and it was more than that. I have experienced so much this year that it feels like a lifetime that we have gone through, me and you.”he began his text. After the album's release, the artist saw his songs being played on the biggest national and international radio stations.

The success was overwhelming and took him to Lollapalooza Brazil, in addition to the incredible performance on the Sunset Stage at Rock in Rio, in addition to other appearances and shows at festivals and awards ceremonies.. “I feel like a different person now. I hope it helped you and kept you company, just like it did for me. Until next time.”he concluded.

To end the era “PIRATE”Jão will release another music video, which will be of the song “Boys and Girls”. The confirmation came during a show held on the current tour during interaction with a fan. However, the official release date is still unknown.

Jão's presence was one of the most anticipated at this year's Rock in Rio. Before going up to the Sunset Stage, the singer was presented with a gift by his record label, Universal Music Brazilwith two Diamond and Double Platinum certified plaques for the success of his songs.

One of them was for the 140 million views of the track “Idiot”the biggest single of his entire career. The song is part of the album “PIRATE”which was awarded double platinum, due to 350 million streams, counting audio and video.

The track “Joker” is Triple Platinum, “I Don’t Love You”, “Holy” and “Boys and Girls” are platinum. Finally, the gold goes to “It Happens“, “Flash“, “You Lost Me“, “Sweet” and “Red Eyes“. In this way, Jão establishes himself as one of the biggest Brazilian names in the music scene, and this at just 27 years old.
