Jão promises to release a DVD of the “Supertour” and excites fans

Packing stadiums and arenas all over Brazil, Jão was one of the biggest topics in music last week with the announcement of an audiovisual production for “SUPERTURNÊ”.

With a super production, the singer showed a small excerpt of the work with performance footage of the song “Julho”, featured on his latest album “Super”, during the opening show of the tour, at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo.

In the caption of the publication, in addition to announcing the recording of his tour shows, Jão joked with fans remembering the cancellation of the presentation of the filming of the concert filmed in São Paulo by the “Pirata” tour, in August 2022: “Editing a DVD here… (I'll release this one),” he wrote.

This will be the artist's second live recording, having released “Anti-Herói (Ao Vivo)” during the pandemic in 2020.

There is no further information yet about a release date or whether it will be made available on streaming platforms.

Busy schedule

Jão has “SUPERTURNÊ” performances in nine more states until May of this year, after successfully visiting São Paulo, Paraná, Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina. The artist will also return for the Portuguese and Brazilian editions of Rock In Rio, in June and September, respectively, before performing the last show of the tour with his third visit to São Paulo, scheduled for January 2025.

New songs

While working on the audiovisual recording, Jão is already starting to think about his next album, as he revealed in his interview with “PodDelas”, last Friday (15). The 29-year-old star went into the studio with major international music producers, who have made songs for artists such as Madonna, Adele, Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X, among others.

A partnership with country singer Gustavo Mioto was also revealed during the conversation. “We are making a stop”, he confirmed without going into too much detail.

The release of a new album is expected to occur only after the end of the “Supertour”.
