Jo Hits 1 Billion Streams Mark on Spotify!

Let him know it's him! Johnthe current national pop success, reached the mark of 1 billion streams on Spotify adding all tracks with their credits. Among the most listened to hits are “Rogue” and “Idiot”.

The artist became known on the music scene in 2016, when he recorded covers of some songs and posted them on You Tube. With this he caught the attention of producers and in the same year he released “Dance for me” his first single, which featured Pedrowl.

In 2018 he released his debut EP “First Acoustic” and “Wolves”, his debut studio album. With the song “immature” he gained a lot of recognition and even received a diamond certification in Brazil.

“Anti-Hero”, his second studio album, was released in the fall of 2019, where it debuted in the top 200 on Spotify Brazil. The singles “That I I did pro our love” and “While kissing me” served as support. His third studio album titled “Pirate” was released in 2021, and the hit “Idiot” became so popular with the public that it reached second position on pop radio stations in the country and the top 20 on the singles chart in Portugal.

And it doesn’t stop there, at the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards, “Pirata” was nominated in the “Best Contemporary Pop Album in the Portuguese Language” category. In March this year, he released “Rogue”, his first feat with Anitta.

With a light voice and a style of music that brings messages of romanticism, Jão, stage name of João Vitor Romania Balbino, is a true phenomenon among young audiences. The 28-year-old singer has 2.3 million followers on Instagram, where he shares concert routines and music news with fans.

Throughout his career, Jão has already received two Grammy nominations, seven for the Multishow Brazilian Music Award and won the Troféu Imprensa and MTV Miaw Brasil awards.
