José Loreto goes to court against Cássia Kis for homophobia

Cássia Kis will have to respond to three new lawsuits filed by actor José Loreto, due to his homophobic and transphobic statements. In a conversation with the NaTelinha portal, the actor explained the reason that led him to take legal action against his professional colleague.

“Firstly, I have had professional, social and emotional relationships with LGBTQIA+ people for years. Furthermore, I have a trans daughter and Brazil is the country that kills the most trans people in the world. I was shocked by what she said, I joined some entities defense of rights so that she pays for the crimes she committed.”,said José Loreto.

According to him, the atmosphere at Globo has been one of astonishment after Cássia's speeches, as her speeches attacked several company professionals who identify as LGBTQIA+.

During the conversation, José Loreto took the opportunity to put some pressure on the broadcaster, where he has worked for decades, recalling that at the end of October, Globo created a diversity department.

When asked about the behind-the-scenes of Travessia, a soap opera in which Cássia Kis is part of the cast, José Loreto says he prefers not to get involved,“As we work on different soap operas, I don't really know what happens there and it doesn't really interest me.”he states.

In addition to Cassia Kis, Loreto had a disagreement with playwright Glória Perez, after remembering in a tweet that Glória is a voter of Jair Bolsonaro, as is Guilherme de Pádua, murderer of her daughter, Daniela Perez.
