K3 van den Heuvel substitute thought first show ‘really great’

K3 van den Heuvel really enjoyed her first show as a member of K3. During the current tour in the Netherlands, the Dutch singer replaces the Flemish Hanne Verbruggen, who is on maternity leave.

The 22-year-old Van den Heuvel found it “really great” to perform with the other K3 singers Marthe De Pillecyn and Julia Boschman. “It’s really cool to stand there and to see that room, and those kids and how they enjoy it. Then you automatically start laughing. I’m just really happy,” she toldHet Laatste  afterwards.

It is the first time that a singer from K3 is temporarily replaced. During previous pregnancies within the girl group, no action was taken at all. Studio 100 asked Van den Heuvel because she had already impressed last year as a finalist in the programK2 is looking for K3.

“I got a call from Studio 100 with the question: do you have time and do you feel like it? Of course, I said yes,” says Van den Heuvel. “I didn’t hesitate for a moment. No, not really. (…) For me, it was still my dream. And I’m so happy that I can experience it. I think it’s a great honor that Studio 100 called me. I couldn’t help but say yes.”

Van den Heuvel will not be there at the beginning of December during the two K3 shows in the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. According to Belgian media, De Pillecyn and Boschman will then receive assistance from another replacement. Studio 100 does not want to say who it is about.
