The information about Michael Waldron's contract came just a few days after Destin Daniel Cretton resigned as director of the film, with the intention of dedicating himself to other Marvel Studios projects, such as “Shang-Chi 2”, which he does not yet have. a date for the expected release. Before Waldron's arrival became official, Jeff Loveness, who was in the script for “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, was the name that was linked to the scripting part of the project.

In reality, “Kang Dynasty” was a story published in 16 parts in “The Avengers” comics, more specifically, between 2001 and 2002.
