Katie Holmes addresses rumors that Tom Cruise hasn't seen his daughter in 10 years

Separated since 2012, the relationship between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes still generates rumors. The topic of the moment is Tom's relationship – or lack thereof – with his youngest daughter, Suri Cruise, 16 years old. After a publication in the Daily Mail about their divorce and Tom's lack of closeness to his daughter, Katie decided to put an end to the rumors.

According to a source heard by the tabloid, Tom hasn't seen Suri in 10 years due to Scientology – a belief he follows. Furthermore, the publication also stated that the young woman, who is in the process of trying to enter college, only has the support of her mother.

“Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really wants her to stay in New York so they can be close to each other. Katie is very proud of herself, but she is also extremely overprotective“, he said.

Through her advisors, the actress stated, in a note sent to the Express newspaper, that the reports are “full of errors”. So far, Tom Cruise has not commented on the rumors.

Katie and Tom married in 2006, the year the couple's only daughter was born. Five years later, they announced their separation. In an interview with the North American magazine InStyle, in 2020, the “Dawson's Creek” actress opened up about what the separation process was like. “That time was intense. There was a lot of attention on me and I still had a little daughter to top it off,” she said.

In addition to Katie Holmes, Tom was also married to actresses Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman. The divorce with Nicole was also covered in the media and, unlike Katie, the actress did not maintain custody of her children Isabella and Connor Cruise. Like their father, they are both part of Scientology and have little contact with their mother.
