Kim Kardashian Accused Of “Stealing” Hindu Element

Kim Kardashian, one of the KUWTK star, has sparked reactions online, leading to some alleged claims that she has stolen elements from Hinduism culture and heritage; a religion largely rooted in India.

Since the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” Show started in 2007, Kim Kardashian has received various backlash from the public.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian is a show that features all the high profile celebrity members of the Kardashians-Jenners family.

The show serves as an open door to their personal lifestyles of thr celebrity family.

However, recently, Kim Kardashian, one of the leading stars and obviously the most popular among the Kardashians, was accused of desecrating the Hindu religion by using hoop earrings featuring Om.

Some fans angrily describe:

“‘IndianAmericans are impacted since US is a mix of cultures/races & it’s offensive here in the US to copy other minorities culture (India, Japan, Africa, etc) for fashion sake & w/o giving due credit to their cultures/religion (cultural appropriation).

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star posted new photos on Instagram where she wore Hindu inspired earrings with Om.

Om is the sacred symbol of Hinduism and has been popular in America for decades due to cultural traditions related to Hinduism like, Yoga.

The cultural traditon has however become increasingly popular since the adoption by the Eastern world.

What appears to get more fans pissed off, was her non-acknowledgement and credit. While this seems to generate some controversies, other fans actively supported her.

Some of the fans claimed her act was in fact, promoting the culture and shedding light on it.

Another Twitter user wrote:
“Beautiful dear KimKardashan….. I am Hindu. We always put on necklace, chain, wrist bands carved with Hindu deities, such as.. Lord Ganesh, Maa Durga, Lord Hanuman and many other Hindu Gods. By this u have shown that u respect all religions. Congrats dear Kim.”

However, Kim Kardashian is not a stranger to such backlash.
