According to the page, the first to return will be Castlevania, with a new game that will “reimagine” the series. It is being developed internally by Konami in Japan, with support from other studios.

As for Metal Gear, VGC said there’s a remake being developed by Singapore-based studio Virtuous (via Andy Robinson ), who recently ported Dark Souls and The Outer Worlds to Switch and helped make Battlefield 1 and Horizon Zero Dawn. Development is in its infancy and “multiple sources” have said it is a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, rather than the original MGS.

Konami also intends to release remasters of the original Metal Gear Solid on current consoles, before the arrival of this remake.

Speaking now of Silent Hill, several games in the franchise are in development at various external studios. One of them was outsourced to a Japanese developer earlier this year.
