Lady Gaga reaches 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify

This Saturday (5), North American singer Lady Gaga achieved yet another achievement in her musical career. This time, the 38-year-old singer became the 5th artist in Spotify's history to gain 100 million monthly listeners on the music platform, behind only four other artists who are also successful around the world.

100 million listeners on Spotify

Lady Gaga, who recently released the album “Harlequin” with songs from the film “Joker”, in which she plays the character Harley Quinn, managed to reach another milestone in her career by gaining 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify , which is considered one of the most important music streaming platforms in the world.

North American singer Lady Gaga became the 5th artist with the most monthly listeners in the platform's history, joining Spotify's top 5 made up of Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars and The Weekend.

Partnership, film and album

Lady Gaga is having great success with her partnership with singer Bruno Mars on the song “Die With A Smile”, which can be considered one of the biggest global hits in the world, as the song managed to reach 1st place for 36 days on Spotify, earning the title of longest-remaining song on Spotify Global in 2024, so far. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars managed to unseat the song “Beautiful Things”, by American singer Benson Boone, which had previously spent 35 days at the top of the streaming service.

Last Friday (27), Lady Gaga released the album “Harlequin” which features soundtracks from the film “Joker: Um Delírio a Dois”, which was released in Brazil last Thursday (3). In the cast, the singer plays the character Harley Quinn alongside actor Joaquin Phoenix, who plays the protagonist Joker.

The singer also confirmed during an interview with “Reuters” on the red carpet at the premiere of “Joker: Delirium for Two”, in London, last Wednesday (25), that she is working on her next studio album: “My studio album will be released in February and my first single will be released very soon, so I'm excited about that too”said the singer.

As the next album will only be released in 2025, fans can listen to the songs from the album “Harlequin”, in addition to the successful collaboration between Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars on the song “Die With A Smile”.
