The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been delayed until spring 2023. Initially, the Nintendo Switch game was supposed to release sometime this year, but that turns out to be unfeasible. There is no exact release date known.
Producer Eiji Aonuma reports in a video message on Tuesday that the team working on the game needs more time.
“We have decided to extend development and postpone the game’s release to Spring 2023. The entire development team is working diligently to make this game something special, so please be patient.”
The sequel to Breath of the Wild has been announced in 2019. Last year, Nintendo showed new images of the game after two years of no news about the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released on March 3, 2017 for Nintendo Switch and Wii U. The Switch version of the game has sold nearly 26 million copies worldwide.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is unlikely to release this year, according to Spieltimes reporter and Nintendo insider Sabi.
The plan was originally for Breath of the Wild to release in 2020, but it’s likely been pushed back to 2021. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, was officially announced by Nintendo at this year’s E3 event, without any officials. launch date, but it looks like Nintendo couldn’t hit a launch window that they had planned internally.
Breath of the Wild is a widely recognized Nintendo Switch exclusive and available now.
According to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 director Eji Aonuma, “the new Breath of the Wild or its sequel, it won’t necessarily be related to or inspired by Majora’s Mask…
What we tell you have shown currently is a bit darker. “It looks like Nintendo is taking the time to make the Breath of the Wild sequel as timeless as the original title.
We can’t wait to see a new Paper Mario title, but it’s unfortunate that Breath of the Wild 2 won’t be released until next year.
