At one point, the conversation turned to a more sensitive side in which the wife of singer MC Guimê said that she recently discovered an autoimmune disease after her gynecologist asked her to carry out some tests. With the result in hand, Lexa learned about the disease called Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
The singer vented: “When I received the diagnosis, I was very sad. No one wants to have an autoimmune disease.”. At this point, Dr. Ana Beatriz Barbosa explained a little more about the condition and said that patients diagnosed with the disease feel more tired, have slow thinking and find it difficult to lose weight.
The owner of the hit “Sapequinha” took the opportunity to respond to the haters who criticize her on the internet claiming that she has undergone facial harmonization: “No guys. I have an autoimmune disease and therefore changes [o peso]”.
Learn about autoimmune disease
Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks thyroid cells. The thyroid gland is located at the front of the neck, just below the Adam's apple.

The attack on the thyroid glands causes inflammation that leads to the progressive destruction of cells. In this way, there is a change in the production of hormones that help to regulate various areas of the human body.
Some main symptoms are: thyroid inflammation, constipation, irregular menstruation, dry skin, excessive tiredness, muscle pain, in addition to those mentioned by Lexa during the podcast such as short memory and a greater frequency of forgetting things. She also revealed that when she started treatment, she noticed the return of her libido.
