Limburg Horst
Someone was killed in a stabbing in Horst, Limburg, on Monday evening. The carnival activities in the center of the village have been shut down immediately.
According to a police spokesman, the stabbing occurred around 7:35 p.m. on Sint Lambertusplein in the Limburg village.
The emergency services tried to resuscitate the victim, but the deployment of a trauma helicopter also proved unsuccessful. The seriously injured victim died on the spot.
The police have cordoned off the square in the center of Horst and are investigating. The spokesperson could not yet say what led to the stabbing. The identity of the victim is not yet known.
A festival was still going on in the village on Wilhelminaplein, De Limburger reports . The festivities in the square and in the cafes in the village were stopped. Visitors were asked to go home.
