Liniker wins the “MPB of the Year” category

Today (3), the 31st edition of the Multishow Brazilian Music Award is taking place, one of the most important awards in the country's music market. Directly from Rio de Janeiro, the ceremony is being broadcast, on Multishow, from 8:45 pm, Brasília time, on Rede Globo, after “Mania de Você” and on Globoplay, with an open signal for everyone. Presented by Tatá Werneck, Kenya Sade and Tadeu Schmidt, the 2024 Award has 23 categories in total, covering the entire diversity of national music.

MPB of the year

Winning one of the biggest categories of the night, the one that celebrates Brazilian popular music, Liniker took home the “MPB of the Year” trophy, with the track “Caju”, one of the singer's most recent releases. The victory of the artist who has been proving to be a powerhouse since her participation in “Os Caramelows” did not surprise the public, Liniker was already considered a recurring winner of that night's awards.

In his speech, Liniker thanked the audience for their devotion to the composition and following the track on platforms. The singer, albeit briefly, still mentioned her courage in composing and releasing a song as intimate as “Caju”.

“Caju”, from the album of the same name, is a remembrance by the singer of a brief event and also at a party that left her pondering the event and thinking about the process of exporting the fruit and all its meaning to the country.

Melly, with the song “Cacau”;

Jota.pê and Gilsons, with the song “Feito a Maré”

Jota.pê and the song “Ouro Marrom”;

Liniker, with “Tudo”;

Liniker, with “Brown Velvet”.

As expected, singer Liniker dominated the category with her excellent album “Caju”, released in August this year. In total, on YouTube, the album reached more than 3 million views.
