Little Mix officially goes on hiatus after 11 years

Firstly, the announcement about the end of the trio took place in December, stating a break in activities after the tour “Confetti” in May 2022. Soon after, this Saturday (14), at the O2 arena, in London, the tour officially ended, which featured the Little Mix trio's last performance.

The official group was made up of Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, formed in 2011 through victory in the reality show The X Factor; the singers took the stage and got emotional due to the end of their tour “Confetti” after 11 years, according to a statement published on the trio's social networks, they will dedicate themselves to “other projects”. The full official post about the end: “We wanted to tell you all that after the 'Confetti' tour in April/May next year, we are taking a break from Little Mix. It’s been an incredible 10 years, an incredible never-ending adventure, and we feel now is the right time to take a break to recharge and work on other projects.” Check out some video excerpts of the tour “Confetti”.

After the announcement was released at the end of last year, the trio released a new song titled “Between Us”. The song tells about the friendship between the singers, narrating that they will remain close even “when the curtains close and the lights go out.”

During their career, they achieved hits, awards and friendship between them. Little Mix sold more than 70 million records, reached number one on the UK charts five times, won three BRIT Awards, became the 2nd best-selling female group of all time and the most streamed on the Spotify platform.

It is worth remembering that during the 2011 season of The X Factor, the group began as a quartet with member Jesy Nelson, however, the singer announced her departure in December 2020, and in 2021, she began her solo career.

In addition to her music career, one of the members, Perrie Edwards gave birth to her first child in August 2021 and Leigh-Anne revealed her first pregnancy in May 2021.
