Little Nightmares III Coming in 2025 with Co-Op Mode
– All in one GAME updates, New game release, 2024 games, upcoming games, trending games, latest discovery and game reviews.

Hello, brave explorers of Nowhere! If you're one of those who prefer to face your childhood fears alone, it's time to reconsider that strategy, because Little Nightmares III is here to remind you that horror is much more fun (and desperate) when shared.

Announced with pomp and circumstance during the Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Livethe new trailer gave us a sneak peek at what awaits us in the next chapter of this franchise that is basically a playable nightmare – in the best possible sense, of course.

Return to Nowhere: Prepare for the Horror Spiral

If you have played the previous titles of Little Nightmaresyou know that the series doesn't mess around when it comes to creating disturbing environments and grotesque creatures. This time, Supermassive Games – the guys responsible for making you sweat in Until Dawn – took command and promised to raise terror to a new level with Little Nightmares III. And from what we've seen so far, they're not messing around.

The story follows Low and Alone, two new protagonists who, as usual, have been thrown into a world that seems to have come straight out of the darkest pages of a fairytale book. The setting this time is the Spiral, a series of macabre locations within Nowhere, where shadows come to life and everything seems to always be on the verge of devouring you (literally). And the best part? You don't have to go through it alone.

Double Play: Because Horror is Best Shared

Low and Alone each have their own unique abilities, which means you and your partner will have to collaborate – something that, depending on your level of communication, can be a bigger challenge than the puzzles themselves. Low carries a bow and arrow, which is handy for reaching things from a distance (or maybe fending off monsters, who knows?). Alone, on the other hand, wields a wrench, which is perfect for clearing paths, solving puzzles, or simply defending yourself when things get ugly (and trust me, they will).

If playing solo is more your thing, don’t worry. You can choose to control Low or Alone, while the AI takes care of the other character. Now, whether this AI will be as reliable as your real-life friend… Well, only time will tell.

The Spiral: Where Nightmares Come to Life

The new setting, the Spiral, is one of those places that makes the Resident Evil Village feel like a visit to the park. With environments that seem like a mix between Tim Burton and HP Lovecraftyou never know what you'll find around the next corner. Supermassive Games seems to have outdone themselves in creating a suffocating atmosphere, where every dark corner could hide a new threat or a diabolical puzzle.

What really stands out in Little Nightmares III is the way the narrative is told without words. As in previous games, the environment is just as important as the characters themselves, and every detail tells a part of the story. From the rubble you navigate to the bizarre creatures lurking in the shadows, everything seems to have a sinister story behind it – and it’s your job to unravel it while trying to, you know, survive.

Shadow Creatures: The Residents of Your Nightmares

If you thought the creatures of Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares II were the definition of nightmare material, just wait until you meet the “residents” of the Spiral. These grotesque creatures make the enemies of games like Silent Hill look like stuffed animals. Each encounter is a mix of terror and strategy, where you need to think quickly to avoid a terrible fate – or at least a very unpleasant death.

The detail on these creatures is truly impressive (and disturbing). They're the kind of thing you see out of the corner of your eye when you're trying to sleep, and then wonder if it was just your imagination. However, in Little Nightmares IIIthere is no escape – they are there, and they are waiting for you.

The Weight of History: A Summary of the Little Nightmares Franchise

For those who are just arriving in the world of Little Nightmareshere's a brief summary. The franchise began in 2017 with the release of Little Nightmaresdeveloped by Tarsier Studios. The game quickly became a cult hit, thanks to its unique combination of platforming, puzzles and psychological horror. Little Nightmares is known for its oppressive atmosphere, disturbing visual design, and environmental storytelling, where the story is told through the details of the world around it.

In 2021, Little Nightmares II expanded this dark universe even further, introducing new characters and even more bizarre scenarios. The game maintained a focus on challenging puzzles and environments that seemed straight out of the darkest dreams of a horror genius.

Now, with Little Nightmares IIIthe franchise is ready to take the next step, bringing an online co-op mode that promises to add a new layer of complexity and fun to the experience. And, of course, all this while maintaining that special touch of horror that made the series so loved (and feared).

Prepare to Face Your Fears (With a Friend)

With the launch scheduled for 2025, Little Nightmares III promises to be a terrifying (and unmissable) addition to the series. Whether you play solo or in a duo, you can expect plenty of scares, tricky challenges, and moments where you’ll wish you’d never gotten out of bed.

So while you wait for this new dive into horror, you might want to binge-watch the previous games to get in the mood. And of course, make sure that brave (or naive) friend is ready to face the horrors of the Spiral by your side. Because, as Bandai Namco knows, the only thing better than a nightmare is a nightmare shared.
