Live, Cardi B reveals plan to release a new album next year

Through a live on Instagram, Cardi B commented that she intends to release her second album in 2022, in addition to recording a film. The singer's first album, “Invasion of Privacy”was a commercial success, highlighting the singles “Bodak Yellow”, “Be Careful” and “I Like It”and the work was honored with a Grammy in the “Best Rap Album” category in 2019, taking the singer to another level.

Still on live, the rapper spoke about her busy schedule, in which she divides herself between being a mother and a sought-after artist in different sectors of the industry: “I'm trying to balance my new life. I have two kids, my daughter is going to school now, and I have, like, a lot of jobs right now. I'm in a lot of roles and it demands a lot of my time, and on top of that, I have to release this album next year. Not only do I have to release an album, but I have to shoot a movie, I have to do a lot of things, guys.”

Even without a recent album released, Cardi B continues to reap the benefits of her previous work. According to the RIAA (The Recording Industry Association of America), the artist became the first female rapper in history to achieve three singles with diamond certifications in the United States, with the songs “Bodak Yellow”, “Girls Like You” and “I Like It” in partnership with J Balvin and Bad Bunny, who received the certificate this Monday (13).

While her full album isn't out, the singer has been releasing singles, including the hit “WAP” 2020 and “Up” 2021, in addition to the feats “Rumors” and “Wild Side”by Lizzo and Normani respectively and “I like it” with our Brazilian Anitta and Myke Towers. Expectations are high for their next releases and we will be attentive to the news that is to come!
