“We are aware that there has been speculation that the remake will change the story. We believe that Lollipop Chainsaw’s story is a huge part of what fans love about the original game, and we, the development team, feel the same way. Therefore, the story will not be changed in the remake”, said Yasuda, who added: “In addition, we do not intend to change the aesthetics of the game”.

As for censorship in the remake, he said he hasn’t discussed the matter with the companies that own the platforms where it will be released, and therefore he can’t say anything about it for now. However, the studio will negotiate with them so that the game is as close as possible to the original in that respect.

About the soundtrack, unfortunately they will not be able to include 16 licensed songs from the original game in the remake, which is one of the reasons that made them choose to make a remake that is “as close as possible to a remaster”.

The release of the game is scheduled to take place in 2023.
