“Love Me Harder” surpasses 800 million streams on Spotify

Ariana Grande's hit “Love Me Harder” featuring The Weeknd has surpassed 800 million streams on Spotify. The track was the fourth single from the singer's second studio album, “My Everything,” released in 2014. “Love Me Harder” last broke the record in 2019, when the music video for the song feat reached the 600 million views mark on YouTube.

The “Love Me Harder” video is split between scenes of Ariana Grande exuding sensuality on one side and The Weeknd in an introspective vibe on the other, both of which only meet in the final minutes of the production. Another element that draws attention is the darkened photography and the desert scenery that collapses behind The Weeknd.

Other collaborations

The duo has four collaborative songs, namely: “off the table”, “Save Your Tears (Remix (Bonus Track)”, “Die For You (Remix)” and the aforementioned “Love Me Harder”. The two also have a long-standing friendship and according to rumors, Abel (The Weeknd) even invited Ariana to act in the series “The Idol” alongside him, and she would have declined the invitation.

The Weeknd in Brazil

The Weeknd, who is on tour in 2023, is currently in Brazil and performed in Rio de Janeiro on the 7th and in São Paulo on the 10th, where he performed for more than 48 thousand people. During the performances in Brazil, he sang the hit “Love Me Harder” after seven years without performing it in his shows, in addition to also singing “Save Your Tears”. He also brought other successful partnerships from his career such as “La Fama”, in partnership with singer Rosalía. The show that ends the singer's stay in the country is taking place today (11) in São Paulo at Allianz Parque and all tickets have already been sold.
