Luan Santana prepares to record new DVD in São Paulo

Luan Santana does not hide his anxiety during the final preparations for the recording of his new work, the DVD “Luan City”. The recording is scheduled to take place this Monday (13) in Vila Itororó, located in the center of São Paulo. Vila Itororó is a cultural heritage site and the area has a mansion and 37 houses.

City, in Portuguese, means city, Luan explained why he gave the name to his new work. “Why 'Luan City'? Because it really is a city, a combination of rhythms, sensations and attractions happening there. There will be pyrotechnics, circus artists, interaction with fluorescent makeup that glows in the dark, tattoos: the idea is to make people enter another universe, a utopian city, far from real life.”

The singer's new DVD will feature 16 new songs and the participation of three special guests, who were not revealed. According to journalist Leo Dias, one of the guests will be the country duo Henrique e Juliano. Following the romantic compositions, Luan promises to innovate with new rhythms in the new songs.
“My idea was to really bring a new sound to my story. People will be involved in this world, in this city that we are creating so that everything will be a big party, a big tribe that we will bring together, in the name of joy, emotion and the energy that surrounds the repertoire. The songs have a Latin feel.”, explains the singer. “It is the combination of Brazilian arroxa, which became so popular in sertanejo, with the rhythm of quizomba, tarraxa, with influences from Latin reggaeton..”

Making the audience part of the show, the stage will feature a combination of walkways crossing the entire space of Vila Itororó. The person responsible for the DVD's art direction, Zé Carratu, guarantees plenty of lighting effects.
“It's a place of ruins, and we can't cover the ruins.”, comments the director. “Thus, the scene is entirely transparent, with a kinetic light effect, made entirely with neon and lighting, making these ruins appear and stand out. In the front, we will have a neon layer, and behind, the illuminated ruins.”, he concludes.

Like all of Luan's projects, this time was no different. The choice of scenery came from the singer himself. His reference will be to signal the contrast between historical architecture and current technology. In terms of costumes, the idea is to bring a mix of the 1980s and 2000s. The idea of ​​a new tour inspired by the DVD “Luan City“It's real, the singer said he intends to take the show across the country and make the audience interactively part of the show.”It's going to be a party with a great vibe. I'm saying 'party' because that's what we want to convey, we want everyone to feel like they're at a party, not necessarily at a show. It's not just about looking at the stage and watching the show, I want people to feel embraced by all this energy, involved in this city, in this party that we put together.”, concludes Luan.
