However, the act generated sarcastic comments on social media: “Wow, the value of a wine he drinks on a rainy Wednesday. Muquirana. The guy earns 5 million a month and donates that?”, wrote one internet user.

On the other hand, there were also those who defended the presenter. “If everyone who is criticizing Luciano made a small donation, the world would be a much better place! He doesn't buy a cup of coffee for someone in need, but he loves to criticize those who do! The selfish and envious people!,” said another.

Presenter of the channel founded by Roberto Marinho, Rede Globo, since 1999, Luciano Huck, aged 51, is on the list of the richest celebrities in Brazil, behind only Xuxa, Fausto Silva, Ratinho, Edir Machado and Silvio Santos.

In addition to having a fortune valued at 1 billion, the presenter earns around 5 million reais from Globo's Sunday program through his advertising salary and also has investments in companies and startups. The amount of 10 thousand reais sent via instant transfer to the social project “Hope Child” last weekend, corresponds to 0.2% of your earnings from the program “Sunday”.

It is a fundraising event that takes place annually in Brazil, a partnership between UNESCO (United Nations) and Rede Globo, bringing together several artists and celebrities with the aim of generating population mobilization. The money raised is intended for children and young people in vulnerable situations, through NGOs registered with the program. This year, the project reaches its 38th edition.
