Luísa Sonza records the classic “Como Uma Onda”, by Lulu Santos

Luísa Sonza released, this Thursday (29), a reinterpretation of the classic “Como Uma Onda”, a historic song originating from the partnership between Lulu Santos and Nelson Motta released in 1983. The song comes accompanied by a music video that shows the coexistence of Luísa and Lulu inside the recording studios.

The new version features the participation of composer and multi-instrumentalist Arthur Verocai, who arranged the new version, as well as producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Pretinho da Serrinha. Luísa Sonza, who performs vocals, praised Verocai's work, “He gave this song even greater beauty. It’s a new way of seeing the song.” The composer himself, Lulu Santos, praised the lower vocals used by Luísa“We managed to do what was proposed. Luísa sang in a lower range and released the high part towards the end. Her voice on top of Arthur Verocai's arrangement was all the best I could hope for from this timeless remix.”

“Timeless Deluxe”

Warner Music Brasil is responsible for the release of “Atemporal Deluxe”, which is the successor to “Atemporal”, an album released by Lulu this year and which includes six other notable tracks by the artist, with the participation of new generation voices and other renowned artists. Brazilian music producers, such as Iza, Pedro Sampaio, Tropkillaz, Ana Gabriela, João Gomes, Papatinho and Luedji Luna.

Currently, Lulu Santos tours the entire country with the “Baritone” tour, which celebrates her 70th birthday. The name of the show makes an illusion of the mid-range male voice tone, between tenor and bass, which began to be used by Lulu. The singer himself defines himself as a “Baritone”, and highlights that this was one of his last great personal discoveries.
