Maneskin releases music video for the track “If I Can Dream”

The Italian band Maneskin, known for their viral Beginin' and I Wanna Be Your Slavereleased a new version of the track If I Can Dream, one of Elvis Presley's classics. The clip was recorded in Graceland, residence of the King of Rock, which is located in Memphis (USA). The scenes mix excerpts from the recording with pieces from the feature film Elviswhich recently arrived in Brazil.

The Cover is part of the film's promotions and has a more intimate tone. Going through different scenarios and exploring the color red in costumes and lighting, the release became very dear to the band. On Instagram, Maneskin highlighted: “Feeling very grateful to have had the chance to cover the King for Baz Luhrmann's next film. And especially having spent a day recording in the moving and vibrant place that is Graceland, TN – home and sanctuary of the greatest artist to ever walk the Earth. We leave our hearts there.“

If I Can Dream was released by Elvis Presley in 1968, a year of many social changes. The lyrics bear a striking resemblance to Martin Luther King's famous ''I Have a Dream'' speech. During his life, the singer always highlighted how he was a fan of the activist and that he was the right person to fight for civil rights. Check out an excerpt of the song's lyrics:
