Manu Gavassi wins Best Brazilian Artist award at EMA

This year's MTV EMA 2021 took place in Hungary and, among the winners, Manu Gavassi won the award for Best Brazilian Artist, for which she was competing alongside Pabllo Vittar, Luísa Sonza, Ludmilla and Anitta. The singer celebrated in a video, thanking the fans who voted for her to win in the category:

“Gavassiers, you guys are completely crazy. I can’t believe I’m receiving an award at this point in my life. I just released ‘Gracinha’, which means my liberation, that you can be whatever you want. Thank you so much for giving me this gift.”he said.

In addition to the video, she posted a photo and thanked everyone once again:

“YESSSSSSSS WE WON THE EMA, GAVASSIERS! YOU ARE GREAT VOTING ICONS! Now, to get deeper and without caps: winning the EMA for Best Brazilian Act at this point in my career truly seems like a dream. A dream and a hug from each one of you.”he said. “I just released an album, I’m about to release the visual album which is my biggest project in music so far… I don’t know… It makes me believe that it’s really worth it to be completely yourself in everything, to work the way you believe, with a message, with a purpose, with a concept (always, lol) and obviously with love! And yes, that is valued!”he concluded.

The artist also hosted the EMAs alongside Rita Ora, Winnie Harlow, Ryan Tedder, Drew McIntyre, Olly Alexander and Joel Corry.
