Maraisa vents on social media after the first show since the loss of singer Marília Mendonça

This Saturday (13), singer Maraisa made a statement through social media after she and Maiara performed for the first time in a show after the tragic accident that ended with the death of singer Marília Mendonça and 4 other victims. According to Maraisa: “Even though we are fighting a battle against ourselves, our faith is constantly being tested and our attachment is hurting every minute, it is time to reflect and remember.”.

According to the country singer: “Marília Mendonça is the sister that life has given us, and we are honored to have shared so many moments together. There are some things that are so deeply grateful that tears cannot touch them. We have achieved everything we dreamed of together. We have shared everything that life has given us. We have talked about everything we felt among ourselves. We have overcome everything we have suffered. We have never given up when faced with weakness. We have never given up when faced with fear. This sad and uncertain climate is temporary, and the memories will never fade.”.

“You gave women a voice! This week, you made everyone question themselves about the good use of the time we have. And speaking of time, you conquered eternity, you are on the national and international charts, on urban art walls in the streets, on panels around the world, on t-shirts, tattoos, letters, posts, repertoires, in prayers and you will be forever in our hearts. As long as your name is spoken, you will never die. As long as we have strength, your smile will be in the foreground. As long as there is love, there will be your legacy. Wherever Maiara and Maraisa are, there will be Marília. I love you, my friend! Bosses”, concluded the singer.

Maiara posted a video last Friday in which she toasted with Marília Mendoça, producer Henrique Bahia and Abicielí, the Queen of Suffering's uncle and advisor, who also died in the accident, with the following caption: “By you… For you… First show of the weekend Apucarana!”.

The duo's return to the stage in Apucarana, Paraná, was filled with emotion from the opening of the show where Marília appears on the screen sending the following message: “You know, we've learned a lot recently about the value of true experience. We've never valued so much that wonderful, wonderful feeling of being side by side, human warmth, right?”, then Maraisa adds: “These are intertwined, fitted together like a large jigsaw puzzle with millions of pieces, each of which is simply a human being.”, “We know that we will still miss some pieces.”, declared Maiara and the Queen of Suffering concludes by saying: “But we persist and believe, because it's not just the show, right girls, it's life that can't stop, the past is gone, the future is here and only those who live life, make it present.”. Thanks to projections of the country music on the big screen, the Patroas were able to sing together once again in a show.
