Marco Pigossi joins the cast of 'The Boys' spin-off

Brazilian actor Marco Pigossi will star in yet another streaming series. After starring in 'Invisible City' (Netflix), Pigossi will move on to the new spin-off of 'The Boys' (Amazon Prime), one of the most popular series on the planet. The announcement was made by the American website Deadline, which also revealed the addition of actors Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase) and Sean Patrick Thomas (The Tragedy of Macbeth) to the series.

According to Deadline, the three actors will have supporting roles with great relevance to the plot. Schwarzenegger will play Golden Boy, Thomas will play Polarity and Pigossi's character will be called Dr. Cardosa.

'The Boys' is a satire on the world of superheroes, showing a reality that is very different and more realistic than that presented by the Marvel and DC universes. The spin-off will focus on the only exclusive university for superheroes in the United States. In the new series, we will follow a group of young superheroes who are perpetually testing their physical, sexual and moral limits as they compete for the best jobs in the best cities. The show is described as “part high school series, part Hunger Games“, with the characteristic humor of 'The Boys'.

The first two seasons of 'The Boys' are available on Amazon Prime Video. The third season premieres on June 3. The spin-off does not yet have a release date.
