Marília Mendonça's grandson calls his grandmother his mother at school and surprises his classmates

This Thursday (6), Dona Ruth, mother of Marília Mendonça, in an interview with journalist Léo Dias for the program Fofocalizando, commented on her bond with her grandson Léo after the death of the country singer. Marília passed away in 2021, and at the time, Léo was only 1 year old, but even at his young age, Dona Ruth says he felt the loss of his mother.

Ruth explains that he recognizes and knows that she is his grandmother, but sometimes calls her mother. “Sometimes he calls me 'grandma', you know? And I’m his grandmother, but sometimes he needs to call me mother,” commented.

The country girl's mother also told of a situation in which she was taking her grandson to school, and upon arriving at the place, the boy said goodbye to her, calling her mother. “When he arrived in the room, he looked at his friends and said: 'Bye mom'”.

Although Ruth tries to correct her grandson when this kind of thing happens, at times she can't help herself and supports him when he calls her mother. An example that the late countrywoman's mother tells was on Mother's Day this year, when Léo paid homage to his grandmother.

At the time, Ruth said she responded to her grandson: “'Bye, my son. Whenever you want, you can tell me that mommy will pick you up.' I wind him up now”he explained.

Dona Ruth explained that he does this to show his classmates that he also has a mother. “That hurts a lot”he said.

Léo's upbringing is shared between his father Murilo Huff and Dona Ruth, and together they dedicate themselves to providing the child with a good education. “We don't miss kisses, hugs, we spend the whole day like this. And he is growing up healthy, with lots of love, and he is learning to love too.”pointed.

João Gustavo, Marília's brother, was also present during the conversation with Léo Dias, and commented that Léo has a similar personality to the eternal country singer, for example, the way he looks when he is angry is similar to Marília. Furthermore, they pointed out that he is possessive, jealous, loving and angry, just like the queen of suffering.
