The contestant of “Married at First Sight 2022” appeared with a big beard during the first episode. And, behind this physical detail, lies a painful story. A story told by Axel on Instagram.

Axel did not leave M6 viewers indifferent, in Married at First Sight 2022. Like his potential wife Caroline, the 30-year-old project manager and site pilot loves nature and animals. He lives in the mountains with his two dogs. His physique also made a lot of talk.

If during the episodes, we can discover that the woman compatible with him at 80% lingered rather on his size, some Internet users commented on his big beard, which was however less provided at the wedding. Faced with so many comments, the young man dedicated a publication on the subject.

“A story of size?”, is titled his post of this Monday, April 4, because he noticed that the different lengths of his beards intrigued. He first appeared with a beard of 15 centimeters and then “trimmed shortened” for marriage. “And finally today a short beard,” he added. Changes that are of its own accord.

“Following a breakup, I withdrew a lot and I was not strong enough to welcome my emotions. The disappointment and sadness, mixed with the incomprehension that this causes, were too strong and I felt overwhelmed.

This was followed by an emotional game of hide and seek, where I didn’t say anything and let nothing appear; where I refused to see reality in the face because I was too weak, in denial itself.

To continue in this game, to do the hard and not to make me want to talk to me, I let my beard grow excessively. It was a new subterfuge to this masquerade, but this time, physical (…) I don’t think anyone outside my system wanted to get to know me and that’s what I wanted,” he explained.

It took Axel months to do some work on himself. And it was a trek around Beaufortain (in Savoy) that changed his life. “During this crossing, I dreamed absolutely every night of her.

And that last night of travel, I said goodbye to him and especially I closed this chapter of my life. My unconscious had decided to open the door because it felt strong enough for this battle.

When he returned, Axel made the decision to trim his beard a bit. But he “still had a part of shadow to lift, a mask to drop, an appearance to overcome“. The young man had to be able to trust another woman again.

“I now have a beard that corresponds to my state of mind,” he said.

With this publication, he wanted to make it clear that sometimes it takes time to overcome an ordeal and that sometimes, an appearance can hide a message much deeper than a simple trend.
