Matt Damon has a shielded account on Instagram, he says in an interview with GQ. The actor has never seen the need to go on social media, but uses the profile to view photos of friends.

“I have 76 followers and have posted forty times since 2013,” said the fifty-year-old actor.

He says he uses the app mainly to watch the children of friends all over the world grow up. He also mainly shares family photos.

Damon, by the way, understands the appeal of some social media. “I understand that people want to keep in touch with everyone via Facebook. But my life is so full and I’m in touch with everyone I want to stay on top of.”
