Megan Thee Stallion announces new single “HISS”

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion announced, this Monday (22), her newest single titled “HISS”. The song will be released this Friday (26), two weeks after the release of “Not My Fault“, alongside singer Reneé Rapp.

Single is related to your independence

In a publicity photo, Stallion appears wearing red holding the title of the song, the same color as his clothes. However, what few probably know is that there is a meaning behind it, as on the cover of the single there is a drawing of the artist holding a white snake around her neck, bringing strong references to a not-so-distant past.

As much as the artist hasn't said, the new song is probably related to the release of the song “Snake”, released in November 2023, which marked a new journey for Thee Stallion. The track represented a new phase for Meghan, as it was responsible for the rapper's debut as an independent artist with her own label, Hot Girl Productions.

Megan Thee Stallion's career began in April 2016, when she released the song “Like The Stallion”which was released as a single from his independent mixtape. Three years later, in 2019, the artist reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Hot Girl Summer“, song featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.

However, the rapper truly “exploded” only in March 2020 with the release of the track Savage, featured on the Suga EP. The song spread across TikTok, including a remix by singer Beyoncé. However, anyone who thinks that her knowledge is restricted to just one area is mistaken, because, already working with music, in 2021, Megan graduated in Health Administration from Texas Southern University.

With that, we arrive at the present day, with Megan establishing herself as one of the biggest international rappers on the music scene, joining big names like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and Doja Cat.
