Meghan and Harry's absence from Royal Ascot would have pleased the royal family, says website

Removed from the duties and functions of the British royal family since 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to continue to be a controversial subject in the industry. According to the portal Page Sixthe couple's absence from this year's Royal Ascot pleased several members of the nobility, especially the King Charles lll and the Queen Camilla.

“The gossip in the royal compound was how happy everyone was that Meghan and Harry weren't here”, reported a close source about the mood during the traditional horse race. The event is a reference in Great Britain's social season, bringing together equine lovers, influential billionaires and, of course, royalty.

Another informant present at the meeting stated that the Queen was dissatisfied after Harry called her a “wicked stepmother” in “What's left”, the prince’s memoir released in January. “Camilla knows she shouldn't go too far, as Charles still loves Harry. So everyone blames Meghan for all the mess in the family”, he said.
