Sweet and Sour is about two lovers, Chae so Bin (Jung Da Eun) and Jang Hyeok (Jang Ki Yong). Initially, the relationship was still harmonious, until a career opportunity received by Jang Hyeok made their relationship beset by challenges due to having to undergo LDR.

Their story certainly feels relatable because it is experienced by many couples. The presence of a third person makes a relationship that was once sweet begin to feel bland to live. In Sweet and Sour,Da Eun (Chae so Bin) is portrayed as a woman who works as a nurse in a hospital. Long working hours and pressure at work make her stressed plus pregnant hormones that make Da Eun more sensitive and emotional.

Unfortunately, Hyeok who begins to get distracted with Bo Yeong (Krystal Jung) becomes insensitive to her lover. There is a selfish nature in Da Eun that complicates the situation. There is a scene where Da Eun tells Hyeok to dump the trash just as Hyeok has just arrived at Da Eun’s house after going through a traffic jam to reach her lover’s house.

Any couple will be angry when they come home from work, but not warmly welcomed by their lover. Moreover, hyeok does not know that Da Eun is pregnant. There are times when trying to lower the ego for a moment or control emotions for the sake of a good relationship.
