Music phenomenon, Bad Bunny breaks another record on Spotify

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny never tires of breaking records in the world of music, and this Wednesday afternoon (10), he achieved another great exclusive feat on Spotify. The 28-year-old Latino became the first artist in the history of music streaming to have every track on his album have over 100 million views. No Spotify album had ever reached this mark.

When the work “August” surpassed 100 million reproductions, the unprecedented feat was completed. All 23 songs on the tracklist reached triple digits of listeners, making the milestone even more impressive. The album responsible for the record is called “Un Verano Sin Ti”, released in May this year by Rimas Entertainment, this being the fourth album from Bad Bunny's studio.

Therefore, the discography continues with overwhelming numbers. “Un Verano Sin Ti” already had two billion views in its first 30 days. The album joins other successful works by the Puerto Rican, such as 'El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo', his penultimate album, and 'YHLQMDLG' (acronym for “I do what I want”, in Spanish). His first tracklist, called 'X 100PRE' from 2018, is considered one of the best of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine.

Still in July this year, Bad Bunny had more than 10.3 billion plays on his tracks on Spotify, breaking his own record for the highest number achieved in one year by an artist on the platform. It's worth remembering that we are in August 2022, with months left until the year ends. Its most recent tracklist has been at the top of the Billboard 200 for more than seven weeks and eleven on the streaming service's global album chart.

Bad Bunny has collected several incredible achievements throughout his career, which began in 2016. The reggaeton and Latin trap star reached first place on Spotify's Global Top 50 with 'Moscow Mule'. The song also left the singer alongside Anitta's 'Envolver' as the only Latin artists to reach the top of the chart with a solo track.
