The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has annihilated unwholesome food sources and items worth N515.73 million in the North East.

The data is in a proclamation endorsed by NAFDAC’s Resident Media Consultant, Mr Olusayo Akintola in Abuja on Sunday.

Akintola, who expressed that the obliteration was completed in Gombe, added that the organization’s Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, was addressed at the activity by Mrs Dayilim Josephine, the NAFDAC Coordinator in Bauchi State.

He cited the NAFDAC supervisor as saying “the organization won’t lay on its paddles until Nigerian business sectors are freed of phony and unsatisfactory food sources, drugs, distorted meds and hazardous makeup.”

Adeyeye said that the activity started with getting the things for annihilation from the North East zonal states, Gombe, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Bauchi and Taraba. She praised the synergistic endeavors of sister offices like Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON), NDLEA and DSS, among others, around the acknowledgment of NAFDAC’s order.
