Napoli has passed Juventus in Italy
Napoli is again fully participating in the battle for the top places in the Serie A that entitle them to participate in the Champions League. The team from Naples won 2-0 at Torino and thus comes to 66 points.
Napoli passes Juventus that was fourth and has the same number of points, but a slightly worse goal difference. Number three AC Milan is also on 66 points, but will come into action later on Monday at Lazio, which is sixth. The first four clubs in the Serie A qualify for the Champions League for the following season.
Tiemoué Bakayoko gave the visitors of coach Gennaro Gattuso the lead after 11 minutes. The midfielder ran free and fired in on the left. After Nicolas N’Koulou’s clumsy loss of the ball, Victor Osimhen made it 2-0 with a quick attack two minutes later. Napoli failed to score more often in the second half.
Torino ended the game with ten players, after Rolando Mandragora had to leave the field after his second yellow card.
