“Natal de Luz” in Gramado is postponed due to plane crash

This Sunday morning (22), a plane crashed in Gramado, in the Rio Grande do Sul mountains, the destination was Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo, but unfortunately the accident was fatal and killed everyone on the plane. Out of respect for the victims, the city canceled the traditional “Christmas of Light” festivities.

The small plane that crashed this Sunday morning (22), in Gramado in Rio Grande do Sul, had taken off at 9:12 am from Canela airport, a neighboring city of Gramado. The plane's destination was Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo, however, the aircraft crashed minutes after taking off and crashed into stores and houses on Avenida das Hortênsias

The aircraft was carrying 10 people who unfortunately died in the accident, all of whom belonged to the family of Luiz Galeazzi, CEO of Galeazzi & Associados, owner of the plane who also had his death confirmed by the plane's company. According to information from CNN, the weather at the time of the plane crash was bad due to the rain, which covered the sky with fog in the region.

Christmas of Light is canceled

Out of respect and solidarity with the victims of the fatal accident, the “Christmas of Light” in the city of Gramado was postponed this Sunday. In a note released on social media, the event organizer informed that tickets could be scheduled for other dates according to ticket availability.

Everyone who purchased tickets can also opt for a refund. However, consumers who purchased tickets on channels other than the official websites must contact the customer service channel where they purchased the tickets.
