Ne-yo brings seductive nostalgia to Palco Mundo

On the last day of Rock In Rio 2024, American pop star Ne-Yo took to Palco Mundo with a performance that mixed nostalgia and contagious energy. Dressed in a bright red suit, he opened his show to the sound of “Closer”, enchanting the audience with his striking choreography.

Ne-yo showed cuts of his most recent hit, “2 Million Secrets”, on the big screen as an introduction, surprising fans with a performance on stage as well. “Champagne Life”, “She Knows” and “2 The Moon” were also included in the production.

The show also featured a special appearance by MC Daniel, who brought a mix of funk and pagode to the show. At the end of his presentation, he opened his shirt to display a second t-shirt that carried an awareness message: “Stop the fires”, drawing attention to environmental issues. Ne-yo also revealed on stage that he is working with the MC on a hit song that will be released soon.

Nostalgia for the 2000s

Ne-yo's show was pure nostalgia, the pop artist delivered hits that transported the audience straight to the 2000s. The setlist took more than 100 thousand people straight to the time tunnel to the sound of: “Because Of You”; “Sexy Love”; “So Sick”; 'Mad”; “Miss Independent”; “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself)”; “Time of Our Lives” and with “Give Me Everything” Brazilian fans showed their power singing with great enthusiasm the success of Neyo and Pitbull.

Dance competition on Palco Mundo

Interactivity was also highlighted in the show. During “Push Back”, Ne-Yo invited three fans: Érica, Sabrina and Natália, to a fun dance competition. The audience became the judge, deciding who stood out in the performance.

Sabrina was chosen and, in a gesture that left everyone ecstatic, she received a kiss from the singer, making the audience go crazy.
