New Colab! Lagum L7nnon + Martnlia, Produced by Papatinho

The Minas Gerais band Lagum, formed by Pedro Calais (vocalist), Otávio Cardoso (guitar), Jorge (guitar), Francisco Jardim (bass) and, previously, by the late Tio Wilson (drums), launched last Thursday (22) the new single “Eita Menina”, in partnership with rapper L7nnon, Mart'nália and produced by Papatinho.

With its release scheduled for this second semester, “Eita Menina” is the fourth single from the album. Still in 2020, the group released “Ninguém Me Ensinou”, “Musa de Inverno” and “Eu e Minhas Paranoias”, which will also be part of the album.

The song was produced by Papatinho, who has already partnered with Anitta, Péricles, Seu Jorge and, now, with the band Lagum. Composed by the band itself, together with Mart'nália and L7nnon, vocalist Pedro says that it is a very different work from what has been released before by the group.

In an interview with Portal POPLine, Pedro explained a little about the song: “'Jeez Menina' is a song unlike anything we've ever released, the feats, production and theme of the song are part of the experimentation we seek in this new phase of our career, never limiting ourselves to just one style and always seeking creativity outside of our obvious. I can say that I am very artistically accomplished being part of Lagum”, says Pedro.

The band explained how the idea of ​​inviting a samba singer and a rapper to be part of the song came about. “We thought it would be cool to have someone renowned in samba and the idea came up in our office to be Mart'nália. We thought it was brilliant, because we had never thought of a woman singing this part of the song”, says Pedro. “She agreed right away and we were super happy”, he adds. The rapper L7nnon was recommended by the producer himself, and the band accepted immediately, as they had been following the artist's work for a while.

“Eita Menina” is now available on all digital platforms and already has a video, directed by Alexandre Stehling, Pedro Milagres and Oliverzort, the same directors of the video “Eu e Minhas Paranóias”.
