New EP 'Prelude' Arrived! Find out the date here!

Singer Lauren Jauregui, former member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, announced the release date of her new EP “Prelude”. This past Wednesday (20), the singer performed her new single “Scattered”, in partnership with North American rapper Vic Mensa.

The singer states that she is very excited to show her new work to the world and that her album will feature 7 tracks: “I'm very emotional, in other words, it's a presentation of my heart and I feel proud of what I created. And he continued: I've been living with these songs for 4 years now and I'm like 'ready, here, they're yours'”. To present her fans with the new EP, the singer will go on a mini tour of 5 shows in the United States.

In an interview with POP Line, Jauregui said that the EP is just an introduction of what is to come and that he will release a full album next year. “The EP comes before a full album that will be released next year, it's like an entry into my world. This way people can get a taste and knowledge of what I'm offering sonically, lyrically and visually.”

After suffering from the wait for her label, Columbia Records, the singer decided to release the EP with her own record label and said it is a very different experience than what she was used to.

“It's very different, I'm now in charge of everything and it's definitely something I was challenging myself as a businesswoman. It was a great opportunity to grow, because I always imagined myself as an independent artist, especially after my experience with a major label, I didn't see a future where I could make my art.”

During her performance of “Scattered”, the singer announced that the EP “Prelude” will be available on all digital platforms on November 5th.
