New Movie Coming Exclusively to Disney+!

Following the line of major changes announced by Disney for your release schedule, the animation “Luca” had its release in theaters completely canceled by the studio. Instead, the new film from Pixar will be released directly on Disney+and the best, without any additional cost beyond the platform subscription.

Just like what happened with the movie “Soul” in Brazil, which arrived in the subscribers’ catalog at Christmas 2020 at no cost, ““Luca” should premiere on streaming on the day June 18th. The film is directed by Enrico Casarosanominated for an Oscar for the short film ““The Moon” (2011)and produced by Andrea Warren (“Lava” and “Cars 3”).

The synopsis describes the film as an adventure between a young boy and his new best friend, set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera. Luca is a coming-of-age story about a young man experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta, and endless scooter rides.

The boy shares these adventures with his new best friend, however all the fun is threatened by a deeply guarded secret: they are sea monsters from another world, just below the surface of the water.

“This is a deeply personal story for me, not only because it is set on the Italian Riviera, where I grew up, but because the central point of the film is a celebration of friendship.“, described the director Enrico Casarosa about his work.”Childhood friendships often set the course of who we want to become, and these bonds are at the heart of Luca“, completed the filmmaker.

The original dubbing cast features: Jacob Tremblay (Jack's Room) voiced by Luca Paguro, a brilliant and inventive 13-year-old sea monster with endless curiosity, especially when it comes to the mysterious world above the sea. Jack Dylan Grazer (Shazam) voicing Alberto Scorfano, an independent teenager and free-spirited sea monster with an unbridled enthusiasm for the human world.

Already Emma Berman voices Giulia, an outgoing and charming adventurer who befriends Luca and Alberto. Maya Rudolph (Wedding Godmother Mission) It's Daniela, Luca's mother. Marco Barricelli plays Massimo, Giulia's father. Jim Gaffigan voices Lorenzo, Luca's father.
