New series starring Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone (75) will play the lead role in the new series on the streaming platform, Paramount+, the actor known for his famous role in the Rocky franchise, will play an Italian mobster who moves to New York City in the production “Kansas City” who, with the help of partners, intends to return to power.

The series is produced by 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios. Created by screenwriter Taylor Sheridan, who alongside John Linson also created the series Yellowstone (2018) and Terence Winter screenwriter of The Sopranos (1999-2007), in addition to the two screenwriters, the protagonist himself is also responsible for the production, with Stallone as executive producer.

The actor has already made some appearances in other famous series, in the 70s in Police Story and Kojak and then attended This is Us, Dream On and the The Muppet Show, but as the protagonist in a series for the first time.

Sylvester Stallone has a vast resume in Hollywood productions, with his debut film and character being Rocky Balboa. The actor will currently be in the latest film in the Rocky Balboa franchise. The Expendables 4 scheduled for release next year, where he is also a screenwriter and director, acting alongside big names in the industry such as Jason Statham (Fast and Furious 7: Hobbs and Shaw – 2019), Terry Crews (Everybody Hates Chris – 2005 to 2009), Dolph Ludgren (Aquaman – 2018), Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro – 1988), Randy Costura (The Scorpion King 2 – 2008) Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2 – 2010), Bruce Willis (The Sixth Sense – 1999) and among other actors. In the world of heroes and villains Sylvester also took a risk and was part of the cast of Suicide Squad.

It is worth remembering that despite being confirmed, the Kansas City series still has no release date.
